Biography
Novak Djokovic (born 22 May 1987 in Belgrade) is a Serbian professional tennis player widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport. He turned professional in 2003 and rose to prominence by winning his first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in 2008. Djokovic has won 24 Grand Slam singles titles and has spent a record 428 weeks ranked world No. 1, more than any other player in men's tennis history. Known for his exceptional return of serve, movement, flexibility, and mental resilience, he has achieved career Grand Slams multiple times and has won all nine ATP Masters 1000 tournaments at least twice. Representing Serbia throughout his career, Djokovic also won the men's singles gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Off the court, he is involved in charitable work through the Novak Djokovic Foundation, which focuses on early childhood education.
